BASIC RULES OF PADEL

Paddle tennis is a sport that is played in pairs, both in the male and female categories. Here are some fundamental rules:

The court: The paddle tennis court is rectangular and is divided by a net in the center. It has dimensions of 10 meters wide by 20 meters long.

Scoring: Padel is generally played in the best of three sets. Each set is played for 6 games, and the team that first wins 6 games with a lead of at least 2 games wins the set. If the score is tied at 6 games, a tie-break is played to decide the winner of the set.

Start of the game: The game begins with one of the players throwing the ball to the serve from behind the baseline of their court towards the opponent's court, trying to bounce the ball in the middle of the receiving field.

The serve: The serve must be made from behind the baseline, and the ball must hit the ground before crossing the service line. The serve must be directed to the diagonally opposite service box.

Volley and Wall Bounce: Players can hit the ball before it hits the ground (volley), and the ball can bounce off walls as long as it crosses the net line and does not touch the ground.

Double bounce: The ball can bounce once off the ground before being hit, but cannot touch the ground on the second hit.

Scoring during the game: Points are counted the same as in tennis, with scores of 15, 30, 40 and game. If both teams reach 40, it is called "deuce," and the team that wins two consecutive points from that point wins the game.

Walls and mesh: Walls and mesh are valid parts of the court, and the ball can bounce off them during play.

These are just some basic rules of padel, and there are more specific details that apply in different situations. It is important to review the official rules and practice the game to fully understand it.
